Color Guard!
The Canyon Hills High School Crimson Regiment Marching Band consists of the students who enroll in the Band 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, Honors 7/8, and Marching Band PE classes at CHHS.
The Color Guard/Winter Guard is made up of the students who sign up for Guard Class. They meet separately from the rest of the marching band during the school day, but combine for after school rehearsals and competitions during "field season" in the fall. They hold their own rehearsals and competitions in the winter/spring separately from the band.
Generally 9th and 10th grade students are enrolled in Band/Guard as a PE course (accomplishing California PE standards) and 11th and 12th grade students take the course for VAPA credit, but there are exceptions.
